Michael LeMay<\/h2>\t\n

Doctor of Audiology<\/p>\n

Dr. LeMay has been a practicing audiologist in Reno for nearly 25 years. An alumnus of the University of Nevada Reno, Dr. LeMay graduated with a degree in speech pathology and audiology and went on to earn his master\u2019s degree in audiology from Southern Illinois University and his doctorate in audiology from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Dr. LeMay is a fellow of the American Academy of audiology. He is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He specializes in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss in patients of all ages. Dr. LeMay offers computerized electronystagmography (ENG\/VNG), which assists in the diagnosis of vertigo and balance problems. In addition, he offers a comprehensive evaluation of tinnitus and central auditory processing disorders in children and adults. His philosophy is to obtain as thorough an initial evaluation as possible in order to determine whether the patient\u2019s hearing loss will benefit from a medical or surgical solution, or if hearing instrument technology is appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. LeMay works closely with a number of ear, nose, and throat physicians and surgeons throughout the region so when medical or surgical intervention is needed, an appropriate referral is made. Each patient is treated on a case-by-case basis and given a personalized solution.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Chelsea Peterson<\/h2>\t\n

Doctor of Audiology<\/p>\n

Dr. Peterson is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) where she receiver her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology in 2009. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Audiology in 2013 from the University of South Dakota (USD). During her time at the USD, she was honored to be a three-time recipient of the USD Speech and Hearing Scottish Rite Foundation of South Dakota, Graduate Fellowship Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Peterson participated in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Traineeship program from 2010-2011. This program, funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, provides training for professionals who serve children and youth with special health needs and\/or developmental disabilities. Dr. Peterson\u2019s training has supplied experience in providing aural rehabilitation training to adults, working with children and individuals with special needs\/developmental disabilities, diagnosis, and treatment of Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), providing patients with tinnitus management techniques, and treatment of hearing-related disorders through the use of multiple forms of hearing assistive technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Peterson began working at LeMay Hearing & Balance in June of 2013. Dr. Peterson believes in placing the patient’s needs first and enjoys working closely with patients and their family members to reach successful outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n

Luis Aguilar<\/h2>\t\n

Doctor of Audiology<\/p>\n

Dr. Aguilar earned his Doctor of Audiology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Ore., and his Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from University of Nevada, Reno. His externship at Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance and Ear Institute in Newport Beach, Calif., focused on vestibular assessments and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Reno native, Dr. Aguilar is excited to serve his community. He appreciates the audiology field because it helps patients better connect with their loved ones. Dr. Aguilar is also passionate about balance and helping patients who experience dizziness understand vestibular function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his free time, Dr. Aguilar enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, trying new restaurants and visiting Lake Tahoe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
